We always recommend that you have a professional take your measurements, if this is not possible have a friend or family member help you - we do not recommend that you take your own measurements, as it is likely they will not be accurate!
It is ideal to stand in front of a mirror while being measured, that way the person measuring can easily check to ensure the tape is staying parallel to the floor.
When you are being measured you should stand up straight but relax - stand with your feet hip distance apart (not wider and not with feet all the way together as this will affect your hip measurement). Look straight ahead while measurements are being taken.
Make sure that the measuring tape lays flat on the body, and is snug but not compressing the body. If you are wearing more than undergarments make sure that they are thin and close fitting. We do not want to add bulk to your measurements.
